Total fertility rate lowest in measuring history in 2022

According to Statistics Finland, the total fertility rate was 1.32 in 2022, which is the lowest birth rate since monitoring started in the year 1776. The number of children born in 2022 was 44,951, of whom 38,179 (85 %) were born to women speaking national languages.
