Number of enterprise closures 9 per cent higher in the last quarter of 2023 than twelve months earlier

According to Statistics Finland, there were 8,455 enterprise closures in October to December 2023. During the quarter, the number of enterprise closures increased by 8.8 per cent from the previous year. At the same time, enterprise openings numbered 9,376. In October to December 2023, the number of enterprise openings was four per cent higher than one year previously.
