According to Statistics Finland, a total of 5,195 new passenger cars were registered in July 2024, which was 19 per cent fewer than one year earlier. In all, 9,548 new vehicles were registered in July. First registrations decreased by 12 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

Key selections

  • In January to July period of 2024, a total of 44,355 new passenger cars were registered, which was 17 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
  • Of first-time registered passenger cars in July 2024, 26 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 1,340, or 21 per cent higher than one year earlier.
  • Used imported passenger cars numbered 4,352, which was 17 per cent more than one year earlier.
