Turnover in trade decreased by 1.1 per cent in June 2024
According to Statistics Finland, working day adjusted turnover in total trade decreased by 1.1 per cent in June 2024 from one year ago. The working day adjusted volume of sales in total trade, from which the impact of price changes has been eliminated, went down by 1.7 per cent.

Turnover in motor vehicle trade continued to fall
Among the industries of trade, working day adjusted turnover in motor vehicle trade decreased by 4.2 per cent in June from the previous year. The working day adjusted volume of sales in motor vehicle trade went down by 4.0 per cent from June 2023.
Working day adjusted turnover in the trade industry with the biggest turnover, wholesale trade, decreased in June by 0.4 per cent and sales volume by 1.7 per cent year-on-year.
In retail trade, working day adjusted turnover increased by 0.3 per cent and sales volume by 0.1 per cent in June. Turnover in the retail trade of cultural and recreation goods fell by 7.0 per cent and sales volume by 7.5 per cent in June from the year before.
Seasonally adjusted turnover declined compared to May
The seasonally adjusted turnover in total trade decreased by 0.3 per cent in June compared to May. The seasonally adjusted volume of sales went down by 0.3 per cent. In May, seasonally adjusted turnover increased by 1.1 per cent and sales volume by 0.9 per cent from the previous month.
