Key selections

  • Final energy consumption declined by four per cent in 2022.

  • The reason for the decreased consumption was warmer weather than in the previous year, which led to a lesser need for heating particularly visible in energy consumption in households and service industries.
  • The exceptionally high price of electricity also reduced the consumption of electricity in households.
  • In transportation and storage, consumption grew by 13 per cent year-on-year. Energy consumption in agriculture and forestry remained on level with the previous year.
