Prices per square metre in the statistics on prices of dwellings in housing companies corrected

The average prices per square metre of old dwellings in housing companies in the statistics on prices of dwellings in housing companies have been corrected on 23 August 2019. The data have been corrected in the PX WEB tables 112k, 112r, 112l, 112s, 112v concerning the years 2010 to 2019.

An error has been detected in the calculation of average prices per square metre updated in connection with the statistics reform. The error affects the weighting of prices per square metre from the micro index level upwards. As a result of the correction, some of the previously published prices per square metre for the time period 2010 to 2019 have changed. For example, the previously published price per square metre for the region Helsinki 1 in the first quarter of 2018 is now EUR 6,926, while in previous data it was EUR 6,813. The correction does not affect published indices.
