Quarterly statistics on rents of dwellings for 2010 revised

The data of quarterly statistics on rents of dwellings concerning 2010 have been revised. In the updating of the Register of Buildings and Dwellings, around 30,000 government-subsidised rental dwellings had become non-subsidised rental dwellings. The altered structure of the register influenced the number and price level of non-subsidised and government-subsidised rental dwellings. Therefore it also had an effect on the index and year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter changes.

The revision concerns all quarters of 2010. Due to the revision, year-on-year changes in rents were 0.5 to 0.7 percentage points higher than previously reported. The changes have been taken to the database tables in connection with the release made on 20 May 2011.
