Definition change in the price statistics on forest chippings and energy peat

From the beginning of 2017, the fixed transportation distance is not used any more in the definition of price statistics for forest chippings and energy peat. In future, these prices include transportation costs delivered to the place of use.

In addition, Statistics Finland’s own data collection on forest chippings is discontinued and use will be made of the price data for forest chippings collected by FOEX Indexes Ltd. Compared to before, the new data source contains prices of buyers and hog fuel from stumps in addition to sellers.
