Go straight to the point figure table of the Cost-of-living Index

Consumer Price Index will be renewed at the turn of the year

The new European Classification of Individual Consumption according to Purpose (ECOICOP) supplemented with national sub-groups will be adopted in the Consumer Price Index. In addition, the new base year 2015=100 will be introduced. The changes concern the following index series:

  • Consumer Price Index
  • Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices
  • Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices at Constant Taxes

The change will be taken into use in the index series mentioned above in connection with the publication of the index for January 2016 on 19 February 2016. In connection with the February release, the new classification, weight structure and methodological description will also be updated on the website.
