Productivity of local government fell slightly in 2007

The combined total productivity of local government in education, health care and social work fell by 0.8 per cent in 2007. According to preliminary data of Statistics Finland’s statistics on local government productivity, output grew by 0.9 per cent and total input by 1.7 per cent in local government. In health care, total productivity fell by 0.8 per cent as output grew by 0.5 per cent and total input by 1.3 per cent.

According to the preliminary data previously published in August, total productivity grew by 0.2 per cent in education but fell by 2.5 per cent in social work in 2007.
