Wages and salaries sum grew by 3.6 per cent in July to September
The wages and salaries sum of the whole economy was 3.6 per cent greater in the past July to September period than in the corresponding period twelve months back. In July alone the wages and salaries sum of the whole economy grew by 3.9 per cent. In the July to September period one year ago the wages and salaries sum fell by 1.6 per cent year-on-year.

In the July to September period the wages and salaries sum went up in all the industries for which statistics are complied. The growth was fastest in private health and social work (6.6%) and construction (5.8%). In the public sector the wages and salaries sum went up at the same rate as in the whole economy, whereas in financial intermediation, trade and manufacturing the rate of growth was slower than this.
