Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased in March

The goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 615,982 tonnes in March 2020. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 0.1 million tonnes compared to last year's March.  In March 2020 all domestic water transport took place in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 0.28 million tonnes, which was 44 per cent of all transport. The second most transported were crude minerals and cement, 0.26 million tonnes.

No transport was registered through the Saimaa canal in domestic traffic.
