Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased in February

The goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,3 million tonnes in February 2021. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 64 per cent compared to February 2020. In February 2021 domestic water transport took place only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 0.2 million tonnes, which was 74 per cent of all transport. The second most transported were crude minerals and cement, 26,911 tonnes.

No transport was registered through the Saimaa Canal in domestic traffic in February.
