Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased in May

The goods volume in domestic waterborne traffic totalled 0,3 million tonnes in May 2021. Transport in domestic waterborne traffic decreased by 50 per cent compared to May 2020. In May 2021 domestic water transport took place almost only in coastal waterways.

Oil products were transported most, in total 172,668 tonnes, which was 59 per cent of all transport. The second most transported was crude minerals and cement, 41,433 tonnes.

A total of 4,535 tons of transport were registered through the canal in domestic traffic.
