GDP grew by 2.8 per cent in the second quarter of the year
In the second quarter of 2008, the volume of Finland's gross domestic product increased by 0.8 per cent from the previous quarter. Compared to the second quarter of 2007, GDP grew by 2.8 per cent. There were three working days more in the second quarter than one year previously.
In the April to June period, the volume of exports went up by 6.5 per cent and that of imports increased by 1.9 per cent year-on-year. The volume of private consumption grew by 4.0 per cent while investments decreased by 3.3 per cent in the second quarter.

Volume refers to value data adjusted for price changes. Volumes for reference year 2000 are expressed relative to the 2000 level in euros
