Turnover of employment services continued to grow in 2016
According to Statistics Finland's business services statistics, the turnover of employment services grew significantly in 2016. The turnover of these services was also growing in 2015. Of other industries of business services, turnover grew in information technology services, architectural and engineering design services, advertising and media agency services, market research services, and legal services. In contrast, the turnover from technical testing and analysis services was declining.

Manufacturing most significant for the turnover of temporary employment agency services
The majority of the turnover of employment service enterprises derived from selling of temporary employment agency services. The biggest service items of temporary employment agency services in 2016 were temporary employment agency services for the supply of manufacturing, transport, warehousing or logistics workers. Measured in euros, temporary employment agency services for construction increased the turnover of temporary employment agency services most year-on-year.
The turnover of temporary employment agency services decreased in marketing and sales, health care and social welfare, financial administration, trade and other temporary employment agency services from one year before.
Ninety-six per cent of the turnover of employment services was generated in Finland and 89 per cent of turnover came from private sector customers.
The statistics do not show the temporary employment agency services sold to Finland by foreign enterprises.
