Turnover in service industries grew by 7,2 per cent in May to July
The combined turnover of service industries strengthened further in the May to July period of 2010, with a growth of 7.2 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year. One year previously turnover of service industries contracted by 8.3 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade and the data have been adjusted for working days by eliminating the effects of calendar variations from them.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
In May to July turnover of all service industries was growing compared with the respective three-month period one year earlier. Turnover of the largest group of service industries, i.e. transportation and storage, improved most and was 12.5 per cent higher than one year ago. Professional, scientific and technical activities also grew faster than total services as turnover there rose by 7.5 per cent from the year before.
