Turnover in service industries grew by 0.7 per cent year-on-year in February to April
Turnover in service industries grew by 0.7 per cent in February to April from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously, turnover in service industries grew by 5.0 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
In February to April, turnover developed more slowly than last year in nearly all main service industries. Only in arts, entertainment and recreation activities turnover grew faster than one year ago. Here turnover increased by 4.6 per cent from the corresponding time period last year. Turnover grew fastest in real estate activities, where it went up by 5.3 per cent from one year ago. In the February to April period, turnover contracted most in transportation and storage enterprises, where the drop from last year amounted to 1.2 per cent. The turnover also contracted in administrative and support service activities, by 0.9 per cent compared with the same period last year.
