Turnover in service industries grew by 2.2 per cent year-on-year in April to June
Turnover generated by service industries grew by 2.2 per cent in the second quarter of 2013 when compared with the respective period one year previously. One year previously, turnover in service industries grew by 3.2 per cent. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover in services (TOL 2008)
In the second quarter, turnover grew fastest in real estate activities, where it went up by 6.5 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year. Simultaneously, also arts, entertainment and recreation activities enjoyed over six per cent growth. The development was weakest in transportation and storage enterprises where it decreased by 0.3 per cent in April to June compared to one year earlier. The turnover also contracted in administrative and support service enterprises, by 0.1 per cent compared with the same period last year.
