Turnover in service industries grew by 1.9 per cent year-on-year in April to June
According to Statistics Finland, turnover in service industries grew by 1.9 per cent in the second quarter from the corresponding time period of the year before. One year previously, turnover grew by 1.7 per cent in the same period. Services are here examined exclusive of trade.

In the second quarter, turnover developed most favourably in
information and communication enterprises, where turnover grew by
6.7 per cent from the corresponding period of the previous year.
Growth was also rapid in arts, entertainment and recreation, where
turnover went up by 5.3 per cent year-on-year. Real estate
activities grew nicely in the April to June period, turnover
increased by 4.4 per cent compared to the corresponding period in
2013.
The development of turnover was still weakest in transportation and
storage enterprises, where it declined by 1.7 per cent from the
second quarter last year. Turnover development has also been
negative in other service activities, where turnover diminished by
0.3 per cent and in hotels and restaurants, where it dropped by 0.2
per cent year-on-year.
