Producer prices for services went up in the third quarter
According to Statistics Finland, producer price indices for services rose in the third quarter of 2005 from the corresponding quarter of the year before in all industries. Prices increased most in the year, or by 8.3 per cent, in accounting, book-keeping and auditing activities, and tax consultancy. Smallest year-on-year producer price increases were recorded in hotel services, 0.3 per cent, and post and courier activities, 1.6 per cent.

Point figures of producer price indices for services are initially published for 13 industries but the number of covered industries will be gradually increased up to the year 2006. These initially published producer price indices for services are experimental, which means that the point figures for industries given here may remain subject to revision up to the year 2006 as the used calculation method is being developed or possibly adjusted.
