Building costs fell by 0.2 per cent in February

Building costs were 0.2 per cent lower in February 2010 than in February 2009. Labour costs in construction rose by 2.7 per cent in the year. By contrast, prices of materials fell by 1.0 per cent and those of other inputs by 3.5 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland.

From January to February, the total index of building costs were the same. Also the prices for labour and the prices of materials were the same than in January. By contrast, those of other inputs fell by 0.2 per cent from January.
