Building costs rose by 0.2 per cent in April

Building costs were 0.2 per cent higher in April 2010 than in April 2009. Labour costs in construction rose by 0.3 per cent and prices of materials by 0.8 per cent in the year. Those of other inputs fell by 2.3 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland.

From March to April, the total index of building costs rose by 0.3 per cent. The prices of materials rose by 0.6 per cent and those of other inputs by 0.2 per cent. By contrast, the prices for labour were 0.3 per cent lower than in March.
