Building costs rose by 1.1 per cent in June

Building costs were 1.1 per cent higher in June 2010 than in June 2009. Labour costs in construction rose by 0.1 per cent and prices of materials by 2.7 per cent in the year. Those of other inputs fell by 2.2 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland.

From May to June, the total index of building costs rose by 0.3 per cent. The prices of materials rose by 0.6 per cent. The prices for labour and those of other inputs were the same as in June 2009.
