Building costs rose by 1.5 per cent in July

Building costs were 1.5 per cent higher in July 2010 than in July 2009. Labour costs in construction rose by 0.3 per cent and prices of materials by 3.0 per cent in the year. Those of other inputs fell by 1.1 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland.

From June to July, the total index of building costs rose by 0.4 per cent. The prices of materials rose by 0.4 per cent. The prices for labour rose by 0.2 percent and those of other inputs rose by 0.6 percent in July 2009.
