Building costs rose by 2.1 per cent year-on-year in September

Building costs were 2.1 per cent higher in September 2012 than in September 2011. The prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 2.1 per cent, the prices of materials by 1.5 per cent and those of other inputs by 4.7 per cent from one year ago. This is indicated by Statistics Finland's Building Cost Index 2010=100.

From August to September, the total index of building costs rose by 0.1 per cent. The prices of labour inputs rose by 0.2 per cent, the prices of materials went up by 0.1 per cent and those of other inputs fell by 0.1 per cent from the month before.
