Building costs rose by 0.5 per cent in October year-on-year
According to Statistics Finland, building costs rose by 0.5 per cent in October 2019 from one year back. The prices of labour inputs and services both rose by 1.2 per cent compared to October 2018. Simultaneously, prices of materials fell by 0.2 per cent.
Long term development of the Building Cost Index
From September to October, the total index of building costs declined by 0.1 per cent. The prices of materials fell by 0.8 per cent. The prices of materials, in turn, went up by 0.6 per cent and those of services by 0.9 per cent from the month before.
