Building costs rose by 0.4 per cent in March year-on-year

According to Statistics Finland, building costs rose by 0.4 per cent in March 2020 from one year back. Labour costs rose by 1.6 per cent and the prices of services by 1.3 per cent compared with March of the previous year. The prices of materials fell by 0.6 per cent from one year ago.

Long term development of the Building Cost Index

From February to March, the total index of building costs rose by 0.2 per cent. The prices of materials went up by 0.4 per cent. The prices of labour costs and services remained unchanged in March from the previous month.
