Turnover of construction enterprises grew by nearly 8 per cent in the April to June period
The turnover of construction enterprises grew by 7.7 per cent in the April to June period when compared with the corresponding three-month period of the year before. In the latest examination period, the turnover of building construction went up by 13.1 per cent and that of specialised construction by 5.3 per cent. The turnover of civil engineering went down by 2.5 per cent.

The sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 6.6 per cent year-on-year in the April to June period. In the corresponding period, the sales volume of building construction enterprises increased by 11.9 per cent. Specialised construction went up by 4.2 per cent. The sales volume of civil engineering in turn fell by 7.8 per cent in the April to June period.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
Reversed liability for value added tax in construction services was introduced in April 2011. The revision causes changes to the periodic tax return data used as data sources for these statistics starting from the data for April 2011. Statistics Finland will assess during autumn whether the tax reform requires any change measures in statistics production.
