Turnover of construction enterprises grew by nearly 6 per cent in April to June

The turnover of construction enterprises grew by 5.7 per cent in the April to June period when compared with the corresponding three-month period of the year before. During the latest examined period, turnover increased in civil engineering by 12.7 per cent, in specialised construction activities by 7.1 per cent and in building construction by 2.4 per cent.

The sales volume of construction enterprises fell by 1.5 per cent year-on-year in the April to June period. In the latest examined period, the sales volume in building construction decreased by 4.3 per cent. In specialised construction activities, the sales volume remained on level with the corresponding period of the previous year whereas in civil engineering the sales volume grew by 6.7 per cent.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
