Turnover of construction enterprises grew by 10 per cent in August to October
According to Statistics Finland, the turnover of construction enterprises increased by 10.0 per cent and the sales volume by 7.5 per cent in the August to October period of 2016. In the corresponding period of the previous year, turnover grew by 5.7 per cent from one year back.

Turnover continued to grow in all construction industries. The growth was strongest in building construction, where 11.7 per cent more turnover was accumulated than in August to October 2015. The turnover of specialised construction activities increased by 9.2 per cent and that of civil engineering by 8.1 per cent.
In August to October, the sales volume of construction enterprises increased by 8.8 per cent in the industry of civil engineering from one year ago. Building construction grew by 8.7 per cent and specialised construction by 6.3 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
