Turnover of construction enterprises grew by 8.9 per cent in September to November from one year back

According to Statistics Finland, the turnover of construction enterprises grew by 8.9 per cent in September to November 2018. In the corresponding period one year earlier, the growth amounted to 6.7 per cent. The sales volume of construction increased by 3.1 per cent in September to November.

Turnover grew firmly in all sectors of construction. The turnover of building construction grew by 10.8 per cent and civil engineering also attained an almost equally good rise (8.9%). The turnover of specialised construction activities went up by 5.8 per cent from twelve months back.

In September to November, the sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 5.7 per cent in building construction. The sales volume of civil engineering grew by 4.2 per cent and that of specialised construction activities by 0.9 per cent from one year ago.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
