The Finnish Transport Agency's maritime transport statistics are now available through Statistics Finland's online service StatFin

From the beginning of 2015 the Finnish Transport Agency's maritime transport statistics are published on Statistics Finland's StatFin publications portal. The monthly publications include statistics on domestic and international waterborne transport and transports through Saimaa Canal. A comprehensive statistical time series of maritime goods transports and vessel traffic from 2000 onwards is available on the StatFin portal.

The opening of the StatFin publication channel is part of a larger context wherein the Finnish Transport Agency's maritime statistics system is renewed. From 2015 onwards maritime statistics are compiled by means of a new application (MLT). The new system increases precision resulting in improved quality of the statistics.
