Substantial rise in prices of production inputs in agriculture

The purchase prices of means of agricultural production rose by good one fifth in the last quarter of 2021 compared with one year ago. Agricultural production commodities and services cost 28 per cent more and investments eight per cent more. Input prices rose in every respect. Fertilisers cost over double, energy one third and fodder good one fifth more than one year ago.
