The implementation of the new statistical production system and the changed supplier of source data cause changes to the planned release dates of statistics on housing and construction in spring 2025. The changes concern data on new production of building projects and dwellings, annual data on the building stock, and annual and quarterly data on dwellings, household-dwelling units and housing conditions.
The FIRE project funded by the Research Council of Finland to improve the conditions for register-based research will be launched at the end of February. The project is led by the University of Turku and it includes Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, the University of Tampere, the University of Jyväskylä, the University of Eastern Finland, Statistics Finland and VATT Institute for Economic Research.
