According to Statistics Finland, provision of course-based training in enterprises decreased clearly in 2015 to 2020. The share of those studying in course format decreased particularly in enterprises with fewer than 1,000 employees compared to 2015.


Key selections

  • Sixty-one per cent of enterprises offered personnel training to their wage and salary earners in 2020.
  • Twenty-nine per cent of enterprises' personnel studied in course format and the average number of training hours was 5.2 hours per all wage and salary earners.
  • Offering course-based studying and participation in it decreased clearly from 2015.
  • In 2020, the number of self-directed students was the same as that of course-based students.
