Finns’ greenhouse gas emissions remained almost on level with the previous year in 2021

According to Statistics Finland, greenhouse gas emissions produced by Finns were almost on level with the previous year in 2021. In impurities, carbon monoxide emissions rose by six per cent, while other emissions remained almost on level with the previous year. Greenhouse gas emissions produced by Finns in Finland and abroad amounted to 49 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂ eq.), 0.2 per cent less than in the previous year.
