Significant differences in consumer prices between European countries in 2022

In 2022, the total price level of commodities purchased by households in Finland was seventh highest in Europe, exceeding the EU average by 26 per cent. However, Finland and Sweden were the most inexpensive of the five Nordic countries, while Iceland was the most expensive, exceeding the EU average by 59 per cent. In all, the comparison included 36 countries, the most expensive being Switzerland and Türkiye the most affordable. The data are based on the price comparison programme coordinated by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Union. Statistics Finland compiled the price data concerning Finland.
