According to Statistics Finland, a total of 5,936 new passenger cars were registered in October 2024, which was 8 per cent fewer than one year earlier. In all, 10,219 new vehicles were registered in October. First registrations decreased by 7 per cent from the corresponding month of the previous year.

  • In January to October period of 2024, a total of 61,446 new passenger cars were registered, which was 18 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
  • Of first-time registered passenger cars in October 2024, 32 per cent were fully electric. The number of their registrations was 1,901, or 18 per cent fewer than one year earlier.
  • Used imported passenger cars numbered 4,190, which was 11 per cent more than one year earlier.
