Appropriations for government R&D funding in 2023 fell compared to 2022

According to Statistics Finland, the total appropriations for research and development activities amounted to EUR 2,348.7 million in the state budget for 2023. Compared to preliminary data for 2023, the decrease in R&D appropriations is EUR 6.2 million. The share of government R&D funding of gross domestic product is estimated to be around 0.85 per cent.
