Non-subsidised rents increased 1.4 % in April to June 2024

According to Statistics Finland, rents of non-subsidised dwellings increased by 0.5 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 2.0 per cent in a year in the rest of Finland in April to June 2024. The rents of non-subsidised rental dwellings rose most in Oulu (3.0 %), Rovaniemi (2.8 %) and Hämeenlinna (2.7 %) and least in Rauma (0.2 %), Vantaa (0.3 %) and Mikkeli (0.4 %).

Key selections

  • Rents in non-subsidised dwellings have risen most from the previous year in one-room flats in Oulu by 3.6 per cent, in two-room flats in Hämeenlinna by 2.7 per cent and in family dwellings in Rovaniemi by 3.6 per cent.
  • Rents of non-subsidised one-room flats increased by 0.3 per cent in Greater Helsinki. Rents of one-room flats went up by 1.9 per cent in the rest of Finland.
  • Rents of government-subsidised dwellings went up by 5.6 per cent in Greater Helsinki and by 4.1 per cent in the rest of the country in a year.
  • Rents of government-subsidised dwellings rose most in Hämeenlinna and Kouvola 7,0 % and in Helsinki 6,6 %.
