Rail freight traffic decreased 4 per cent in second quarter of 2024

release | Railway statistics 2024, 2nd quarterAccording to Statistics Finland, a total of 20,5 million trips was travelled by rail in the second quarter of 2024, which was one per cent less than in the same quarter last year. Freight transported by rail was 6,8 million tons, which was four per cent less than in the second quarter of 2023.
