The Finnish name of the statistics changed in the statistical reference year 2023. The statistics cover the data on municipalities, joint municipal authorities, wellbeing services counties and joint county authorities for wellbeing services. Until the statistical reference year 2022, the statistics described the data on wage and salary earners working in municipalities and joint municipal authorities. From the beginning of 2023, the majority of wage and salary earners in healthcare, social welfare and rescue services were transferred to wellbeing services counties.
