Financial accounts are part of national accounts and describe financial balance sheets (assets, liabilities) and flows (purchases, sales, amortisations) of all sectors of the national economy. Statistics are produced by combining a number of register and data collection data. Data are published quarterly and once a year.

Time series revisions are made in all EU countries at five-year intervals in a jointly selected year.
