Turnover of construction enterprises grew in the last quarter of 2014
In last year's October to December, the turnover of construction enterprises increased by 4.0 per cent and the sales volume by 3.3 per cent year-on-year. In the corresponding period of 2013, turnover decreased by 1.9 per cent. During 2014, turnover grew by 2.1 per cent from the year before.
Three months' year-on-year change in turnover of construction (TOL 2008)
Turnover grew in all construction industries. The growth was biggest in civil engineering, 5.4 per cent. Specialised construction activities increased by 4.2 per cent and construction of buildings by 3.1 per cent.
The sales volume of construction enterprises grew by 5.8 per cent in civil engineering. The sales volume of specialised construction activities went up by 3.3 per cent and that of construction of buildings by 2.2 per cent.
The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
