Correction
According to Statistics Finland's Labour Force Survey, the number of employed persons in the second quarter of 2023 (April to June) was 20,000 higher than in the corresponding quarter of 2022. The number of unemployed grew by 26,000 persons.

Number of unemployed grew, the inactive population decreased
The average number of unemployed persons in the second quarter of 2023 was 232,000, which was 26,000 more than in April to June 2023. The unemployment rate in the second quarter of 2023 was 8.0 per cent, having been 7.2 per cent one year earlier.
In April to June 2023, the number of persons in the inactive population was 1,215,000, which was 39,000 fewer than a year earlier.
