According to Statistics Finland's data, only 25 per cent of the total income of farmer families comes from combined earned and capital income from agriculture. Income from agriculture still accounted for around 37 per cent of total income in 2000. 

Key selections

  • In 2022, the number of active agricultural enterprises taxed based on the act on the income tax of agriculture numbered 39,237 in total.
  • The combined result of agriculture for all those liable to pay tax on agriculture was EUR 949 million in 2022.
