Users have confidence in Statistics Finland’s data
Over 90 per cent of Statistics Finland’s data users regard the data to be reliable, independent and impartial. This appears from an inquiry made by Taloustutkimus, to which nearly 500 data users responded.
The majority of data users search for information on Statistics Finland’s web pages. The web pages receive thanks from users, but also suggestions for development to improve the retrievability of data and the structure of the website, for example. Users also consider personal service important and assess Statistics Finland's customer service as good.
Measured with the 4 to 10 scale of school grades, data users' average grade for Statistics Finland's various services is 8.3, which is the second highest grade in user inquiries made since 1992.
"Open data are among the most used services of Statistics Finland, in which we have invested much in recent years. Statistics Finland's social media services, such as the Tieto&trendit blog or Tilastotohtori's Facebook page, are not that well known yet," says Reija Helenius, Head of Development.
"This year, Statistics Finland will start development projects related to web services, for instance. The feedback received from users is valuable in this development work," says Markku Huttunen, Head of Development.
