According to Statistics Finland, human health and social work activities was the most female-dominated industry in 2023. Construction was the most male-dominated industry. Examined by industry, the gendered segregation in working life increased slightly in the period from 2007 to 2023 in the sense that more women than before worked in human health and social work activities in 2023.
